Announcement: Friends of Israel Forum

While we wait for usability testing to complete, we thought we'd share with you some of the things you'll find inside. The Friends of Israel forum will be hosted by Carl in Jerusalem. We are most excited to have him on the team! There are other good sub-forums in the works, as well...we'll trickle them out as we go. (See littleoldlady's post below for more on Carl's fine work.)

  9. Oh and by the way I sport a button on the belt of my carry-all bag that is showing the Israeli flag.
I am not saying that I am particularly bold in doing so but it raises a few eyebrows here in Germany. ;-)

I can tell I'm going to like you, Callahan. : )

Welcome, if I haven't said as much already, to you, PBJ and Dee.

I'm going to try to make sure I don't miss anybody, but we are unusually busy trying to put things together so we're grateful to Pink, lol, and realwest for doing such a great job in the welcoming committee role. Atilla, Scott, and the three of them have been such assets to this effort, we can't thank them enough.

And thanks to everyone here for welcoming Carl so warmly. I suppose we'll have to let him know it's here so he can see it. ; )

They sure do a great job in making me feel welcome.
The time lapse has prevented me and realwest to converse thus far but I am cool, comes time and we'll meet again. :-)

Thanks for your welcoming me, CC.

  17. It's wonderful to have you here, Carl! We're giving people a glimpse inside the larger forum before it opens, so they can anticipate its features along with the team.

Your involvement is such a welcome addition to the project!

  18. Hiya, Carl! :-)

CC just wanted to show off her most excellent logo for the forum (at the future, real site).

Is it "Shavua Tov" time yet in your zone? ;-)

  19. CC just wanted to show off her most excellent logo for the forum (at the future, real site).

I KNEW I should have kept that to myself. LOL

    ; )

(Hey, I like it. I'm a bit of a hack designer, but when a donkey flies, you don't blame it for not staying up that long, you know?)

  20. But I DID want to show it off! LOL

(It speaks to me. I dig it. What can I say?)

  21. LOL,

It was actually about 3:30 am here....

    Sleep? What's that?

  22. Very cool 'thumbs-up Israel' graphic.

  23. I have never been hugged by a committee before! {{CC}}

  24. Hi, everyone!

This is a breath of fresh air.

Carl has a bog? Who knew? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  25. Note to me: learn how to spell! Blog, not bog!

    ReplyDelete
  26. That was a spelling mistake? I thought you were revealing some affection Carl had for cranberries. I'm kinda disappointed. ; )

    ReplyDelete
  27. Correspondence Committee,

I resemble that statement. I am also a Bostonian by birth. I loved going to the bogs when I was a kid, but of course we went in a horse and carriage..no cars yet.

    I like!

Is this coffee fresh or should I brew up a pot?

  29. Let's say you are superintendent of a large school district in a deep blue city.

You have low graduation rates and low performance.

    What do you do?

    a) Demand better teacher performance.
    b) Find ways to increase student performance.
    c) Require more parental invvolvement.
    d) Lower graduation standards.

Seattle schools may lower grade-point requirement for graduation

Seattle Public Schools may do away with a nearly decade-old requirement that all students earn a C average to graduate, and an even-older policy that athletes maintain a C average to play on school teams.

If the School Board approves recommendations endorsed by Superintendent Maria Goodloe-Johnson, as well as most district high-school principals and counselors, a D average will be good enough to earn a high-school diploma. Student athletes would need to pass five of six classes with D grades or better.

IMHO a superintendent that proposes such INSANITY should be fire and given five minutes to clear out their desk.

    Howdy! How's things!

Things are good here, one munchkin brought a cold home and shared it with everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hi, JCM

I have found my 4 kids, now in their 30's and 40's were very sharing...one got the chicken pox, and the 3 others thought that it was such a great idea that they each got it themselves, at the end of the one who had the second case, and exactly the same for the other 2! I was housebound for over a month, and the youngest was still in diapers.

    IMHO it was collusion!

    ReplyDelete
  32. BTW, I hope the munchkins get better fast, and don't share with their parents!
