ReplyDeleteErik The Read? Hell I will take the hat tip anyway it comes. :))) Thanks Pi Guy. I hope this works.
ReplyDeleteI won, I won, I shot the BB gun,
ReplyDeleteY'all lost, y'all lost, you ate tomato sauce.
I have no idea what that means except my kids used to say it when they were little.

Let's get that fixed . . . there.
Erik the Read makes you sound learned.
ReplyDeleteErik The Read.
ReplyDeleteHey, that's pretty good.

How about Erik the well-read? Better?
;)
Hey that is pretty cool PG. Can we get that on the new site?
ReplyDeletemr hightechredneck is taking a nice soak in a hot tub sipping on Tito's vodka and Sprite Zero. And I'm waiting on him. Well, he works hard so he's earned it.
ReplyDeleteCrap, now he's back to his old barbaric self.
ReplyDelete//
If PG said Erik The Rednose, that may have been more appropriate. :)
ReplyDeleteErik, the rednose poster..
ReplyDeletehad a very shiny nose.
Hi all! It took some convincing, but they talked me into staying a while longer. I may miss my ride, though .... could one of you boys give me a ride home later?

Of course the history thread will be on the new site - it will be a forum, not a post, though.
...or were you asking if you could get the name "Erik the Read" on the new site?
;)
PG I was referring to the edit feature. I am looking so forward to the new place, with forums. And the RSS feed.
ReplyDeleteRefills anyone?
ReplyDeleteWhere's Desert Sage tonight? I got a fresh delivery of Cheese Poofs earlier, just for him!

ReplyDelete*knocks all of the other men out*
Sure, hmmm, whoever will you choose ?
redstate, does vodka go well with Sprite Zero? I've got a bottle of Stoli gathering dust because I never know what to mix it with. (Not tonight though; mojitos + beer = bedtime for doppelganglander.)
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of changing my nic to "UmLungu Impi" for the new site. What does everyone think?
ReplyDeleteSquatch, you big lug, you. Play nice!

LOL Sas.
I have my doubts, Erik .....
ReplyDeleteIs this the Helen Thomas thread?
ReplyDeleteDopp
ReplyDeleteVodka and Sprite Zero is delish! And mucho low carbs.

Ice cold vodka. Straight up, on the rocks. You can even hide it in a water bottle.
redstate, I will definitely try that one next time.
ReplyDeleteAnd I seriously do have to call it a night. Even lazy, self-employed slobs have to get up and do some work sometime. Take care, mah peeps!
Squatch, here's some quarters.
ReplyDeleteCan you play some music? Something slow and bluesy if you would, mmk?

ReplyDeleteJENNIFER RUBIN: Not Sufficient to Let Holder Investigate Holder.
When we last left the saga of the Obama administration’s dismissal of the default judgment in the New Black Panther voter-intimidation case, the Justice Department had finally consented to an internal investigation by the Office of Professional Responsibility while the independent U.S. Civil Rights Commission had decided to embark on a comprehensive study and produce a report on the decision and its implications for voting-rights policy. Attorney General Eric Holder to date has stiffed the commission—first ignoring its inquiries and then citing the OPR investigation as reason not to cooperate.
Rep. Frank Wolf, who was instrumental in raising the profile of the case and in demanding an explanation for the dismissal, isn’t satisfied. A spokesman in his office, Dan Scandling, explained to me that Wolf continues to press forward for a congressional hearing to get to the bottom of the issue.
Seems fair to me.
Good Night Doppel.
ReplyDeleteErik
ReplyDeleteYou have got to try Tito's vodka. Made in Austin, TX and is better than Ketel One, which used to be my vodka of choice...and no pricey import tax. Buy American! ! !
G'nite doppleganglander!
ReplyDelete'Night, Dopp. I kicked off the new scrabble game but it can wait 'til tomorrow. I certainly don't need to be playing more tonight!
ReplyDeleteHave an early day tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThanks for putting up with me, BW.
Nite folks. See you in the am.
Pi Guy, it seems by the day that I am now living in the United States of Chicago.
ReplyDeleteGood night Sas. I am also out of here shortly. Brandy can I please have an ABF(Absolute Bloody Final).
ReplyDeleteG'nite Squatch! You be safe going home, sweety :-)
ReplyDelete'Night, Squatch!
ReplyDeleteI'd better go down, too. 5:45 is awfully early.
Love {all y'all}!
One ABF, coming right up, Erik.
ReplyDeleteNot fair! All you tall people were climbing over me when I was trying to get upstairs.
ReplyDeleteSheesh!
Goodnight, redstate!
ReplyDeleteBar Wench,
ReplyDeleteI'll give you lift, got a scarf?

Can you imagine if the Olympics comes to Chicago in 2016?
Come to think of it, the whole world is waiting to see whether the Olympics committee chooses Chicago. If not, they're obviously racists!
;)
G'night to those who are sane, and actually going to sleep!
ReplyDeleteI am still half-awake.
ReplyDeleteI'll give you lift, got a scarf?
OH MY, JCM! That is gawjus!
Everybody, I'm riding home with JCM tonight!
Hi C2ers, Brandy! How's everybody doing?
ReplyDeleteCan I have a Bombay martini with a twist please?
Goodnight Nana! Weet dreams!
ReplyDeletePBJ!
ReplyDeleteHello, stranger. Great to see you.
Here's a simple infographic, explaining how to keep your current doctor under the current version of 0bamacare.
ReplyDeletePBJ, did you take a look at that beeeyootiful automobile of JCM'S? I'll be riding home with him tonight. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHere's your martini with a twist, my dear!
Bar Wench,
ReplyDeleteI am still half-awake, as my posts show. ;)
Get home safely with JCM!
Come to think of it, the whole world is waiting to see whether the Olympics committee chooses Chicago. If not, they're obviously racists
ReplyDeletePi Guy: Today the bitter clingers, tomorrow the world!
Thanks Nana, I'm sure I will. G'nite!
ReplyDeleteThanks Brandy. Wow, beautiful car. What happened to riding home with Sasquatch? Did JCM beat him up?
ReplyDeleteNana, great to see you. How was your day?
PBJ, Squatch pooped out early, the big lug. (I heard him say something earlier about teaching Callahan how to chase women though ....I suspect that's where he may have run off to.)
ReplyDeleteThere's no telling what those two are up to Brandy. LOL
ReplyDeleteGood evening.
ReplyDeletethe markets were down fractionally on a blah kind of day. Here some good news (sort of) though from Marketwatch:
Home prices rise for third straight month, Case-Shiller says
"The market value of U.S. homes in 20 major cities rose by 1.6% in July compared with June, the third monthly increase in a row, according to the Case-Shiller home price index released Tuesday by Standard & Poor's.
In July, prices rose in 18 of 20 cities. Only Seattle and Las Vegas recorded lower prices in July than in June.
In the past year, prices are down 13.3% in the 20 cities. Prices are down 32.6% from the peak, and are now at levels seen in late 2003."
We still got a long way to go but at least there are some hints of improvement.
Goodevening 3 wood! Nice seeing you here this late in the evening! May I get you something to drink?
ReplyDeleteHey 3wood don't tell the people that down here in Florida. I am still trying to buy my house.
ReplyDeleteBar Wench
ReplyDeleteI am just praying that any of the other cities win.
When we see the list of what The One is ignoring, like the General in Afghanistan, the economy, Obamacare, etc., and realize that he, who is not a native of Chicago, shows us what his priorities are...and the cost of the 2 Air Force Ones, the fuel, hotels, food, and his czars, hangers on, and others who are just going along for the ride?
He is abusing his office, and even more? He is using our tax $$$$$$$'s to try and make our country a bastion of socialism.

ReplyDeleteHow was your day? I spent mine chewing a dear friend's ear off on the phone. I hope she was able to finally have her lunch!
For pug lovers...
ReplyDeleteNana,
ReplyDeleteThat's what comes with Hope-n-Change!

My girls want a Pug. I will show them this tomorrow. We may have just found a dog that we agree on. Thanks. LOL
"Goodevening 3 wood! Nice seeing you here this late in the evening! May I get you something to drink?"
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you, a diet cola would be nice.
Back from Cold Stone Creamery....I will have to add an extra 6 hours on the treadmill tomorrow to make up for that.
ReplyDeleteHere you go, Mr. 3 wood .... Very nice to meet you!
ReplyDelete"Hey 3wood don't tell the people that down here in Florida. I am still trying to buy my house."
ReplyDeleteWait a month, the prices will drop back down.
JCM
ReplyDeleteIn my 71 years on this planet, he is, after only 9 months in office (it feels much longer)proven to be the worst president in my life, and seems to be going even deeper into an endless pit.
I would adore seeing my dream come true: The One's impeachment, along with 'Plugs' Biden, Nancy Pelousy™, and Harry Reid.
I can dream, can't ?
What's the word on the markets, 3 Wood? Time to buy? sell? hold? get out the mattress?
ReplyDeleteI had a good day, Nana, can't complain. ;-) Aaargh, just had to reboot my computer though.
ReplyDeleteEveryone drinking it up tonight, getting a buzz on, are we?
ReplyDeleteLater all. I will see you for fruitcup and Pi Guys This Day.... Thanks BW. I hope, when you open the new pub, you get a tip jar. :)
ReplyDeleteSee Ya! ETR
ReplyDeleteLater Erik. Sweet dreams.
ReplyDeleteG'nite, Erik! Weet dreams!
ReplyDeleteG'Nite, Erik!
ReplyDeleteStay well-read!
;)
Nana,
ReplyDeleteI'm still thinking he's got some distance to go to grab the dishonor from Rabbit Bait...
"What's the word on the markets, 3 Wood? Time to buy? sell? hold? get out the mattress?"
ReplyDeleteI think we are going to see a pull back in the next month cause of no GDP growth and increasing unemployment.
Are you old enough to remember the 70's with Carter? This is the most anti-business administration I have seen since Carter, I think we wills ee double digit inflation and double digit unemployment.
Put you money in something stable that will rise with inflation.
I am no economist, but will all this spending, printing of money, massive debt and very little business stimulus, I think you are very correct. We are screwed...
ReplyDelete"Here you go, Mr. 3 wood .... Very nice to meet you!"
ReplyDeleteVery nice to meet you too. And please, no "Mr." stuff. Just plain old 3 wood does the job, thanks though :)
The 0bama Malaise. I know I'm having a crisis of confidence in this administration, no doubt!

I put all my money into Obama Commemorative Plates. I think the time to sell has past... Oh well, there's always my Jimmah Carter Peanut Farm in a box investment I'm still holding onto since 1979.
"I am no economist, but will all this spending, printing of money, massive debt and very little business stimulus, I think you are very correct. We are screwed..."
ReplyDeleteIt's a bit worse than most people realize, I think. Because of the massive debt we have to issue, the interest rates are going to have to jump and stay high for a long dang time. That will cause "crowding out" of private investment, and productivity growth will slow to a crawl. Again, it's the Carter experience all over again.
Plus, I never thought I would see the day when the French leader is stronger on foreign policy than the US President.
When the French leader talks about how you cannot live in a virtual world (referring to the Messiah)) Obama is quickly becoming a laughing stock.

ReplyDeleteI am going to have to reboot, also, but because of a check I do every night, that I nearly always have to reboot for. Ugh!
JCM
He will, without a doubt, destroy Jimmy the Jew hater's pride of place, but The One is out to destroy Israel.
Now I am actually going to do the check ups on my computer, and go to sleep!
G'nite,all! Sweet dreams.
Well, I have to get up early and drive to Kentucky to play blue grass music for 4 days.
ReplyDeleteLater folks.
G'Night, Nana!

ReplyDeleteGood night Nana and Desert Dog. Sweet dreams to you.
ReplyDeleteBrandy, take the rest of the night off! New thread upstairs...you've worked hard enough. Great job, as usual.
ReplyDeleteI've been out. I sure hope Sage is around. Bare wanted to surprise him.

ReplyDeleteThese folks have been so sweet tonight, it's been a pleasure taking care of them.
