More from San Bernardino.

UPDATE: (H/T Kenneth) There's an interesting OpEd in the WSJ today, by James Taranto. A snip:

The Wall Street Journal urges the U.S. Justice Department to undertake a criminal investigation of Acorn. This column echoes that call, although we wonder if the Obama administration is compromised here. The president, who as a candidate touted his background as a "community organizer," has extensive ties to Acorn. In February 2008, the Acorn Political Action Committee endorsed Obama over Hillary Clinton, and Obama's campaign Web site, Organizing for America, boasted of the candidate's support for the group...

UPDATE (2:54 PM Pacific) - New ACORN video to be posted at 9 PM Eastern, on Big Government.

  1. Does anyone yet realize that this president is a crook?

    Seriously, what does it take?

  2. But Atilla, Jesus was a community organizer. I heard that during the campaign.

  3. Exactly. And look for the 'crucifixtion' language/argument comin' right up

  4. CC,

Little request, a comment on the "old" thread that a new one is up...

I was sitting back there wondering where everyone went....

'course I'm a little slow on the uptake thinking to my self "I really did shower this morning!"

  5. The crucifixtion angle is as good as anything else they've got, I suppose.

    P.S. Jesus also wants Obamacare.

  6. Good suggestion, JCM - we've done it a couple of times, but maybe it's a good policy each time. (I've been there, btw! LOL)

  7. CNN is starting to cover the ACORN scandal, but they completely failed to mention Obama's long standing relationship with the organization.

    (thanks for the H/T!)

  8. Correspondence Committee said...

    Jesus heals.
    Obama doesn't like competition.

  9. Beck's up in 15 minutes ....has he got another expose today? I heard the next one is out of San Diego.

  10. But WAIT! There's more: It's not just ACORN, it's SEIU too.

Don't they share an office building somewhere, by the way? I've been hearing this lately, but I can't remember where.

  11. Fox reporting that ACORN has done an about face, now saying that the actions of their employees are 'indefensible'.

The WH focus group has finally realized no one's buying this "oops, we didn't know" line of BS.

Yeah, I hear rumor of that earlier this morning (and posted about it in my morning open thread, where all kinds of juicy tidbits like that get posted for everyone's convenience...)

    ;)

  13. Re SEIU, ACORN sharing office space:

Chicago Alderman Joe Moore (49th Ward) has friends in low places, particularly ACORN and Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

ACORN, a criminal organization, has very, very close ties to SEIU. SEIU Local 880 shares office space with ACORN in Chicago (at 650 S. Clark Street, Chicago). That's where the National ACORN Housing Corporation hangs its collective hat.

They share offices pretty much everywhere. ACORN is where SEIU gets a lot of it's temporary workers from. They've been in bed together a looooong time - even back when I was an unwilling SEIU member.

  17. Let me guess, though, Pink: It's just a handful of corrupt employees, right?

That's the line we heard after the voter registration fraud issues we experienced in Washington state, as I recall.

It's just there there are a whole bunch of handfuls.

  18. It's just there there are a whole bunch of handfuls.

If our politicians had the WILL, the DOJ woul dbe looking at them for RICO violations.

Unfortunately, too many of them tuck their tails between their legs, and look the other way out of fear of being called "RACIST!".

  19. I've got an idea. Let's give these guys billions of taxpayer dollars.

  21. Yeah, Squatch - I hear that.

My dad (a WWII vet, so maybe it's common among guys that age) had a saying. It started with:

    "Wish in one hand..."

I'm trying not to swear, so I'll leave it to someone else to fill it in.

  22. Good After noon C2ers. I did not spend any $$$$ today, but did see two business prospects. My numbers guru is looking at them now. Nothing exciting on the house hunt. Who said prices are cheap in Florida? They are lying.

  23. Good afternoon, ETR! Hey, what's the property tax like in Florida?

  24. Hey, what's the property tax like in Florida?

I haven't even got that far yet. The areas we are looking at it seems to be in the region of 2-3% per year.

  25. Just updated the post - new ACORN video to be released at 9 PM (Eastern Time) on the Big Government website.

The gift that keeps on giving. :)

  26. Good update, Bare. B/G is just all over these guys. I am loving it.

ETR, thanks. I don't know why I was under the impression that it was an exceptionally good deal there...I remember there was some reason O.J. moved there, but that must not have been it. It probably had something to do with not having to give the Goldmans his house if they won the civil case.

"I'm a fake journalist, and even I'm embarrassed..." ROTFL.

  30. My guess is Breitbart intentionally coordinated the opening of www.biggovernment.com with the release of these videos. Wanta bet you won't be able to access his site at 9 pm?

    Gotta admire the man!
