I love Nat King Cole also as does our daughter. I figure it's because I had his music playing all the time near her crib when she was a baby.
I'll bet that's true Brandy and she'll never forget that gift.
My father was in the USAF and my mother use to sing with the Air Force Big Band while I was young. My parents played Nat King Cole's LPs often in the house.
I'll never forget my mothers beautiful voice. She's 4'10" and can belt out a song...lol
Bar Wench said... Wow, Texan. How many teachers could do that today?
I know some tough ones. But she was a Scots-Irish redhead ...
She used to be required to arrive at 5 am in the winter, to stoke the boiler. She also told me that she had to get the school board's permission to go on chaperoned dates with my grandfather.

Jorline's favorite male vocalist. I love Nat's music.
If Mrs Squatch puts up with me that long, I think they'll play this
ReplyDeleteHot tea for you Nana.

Good news for Grandpa Cheney!
ReplyDeleteMary Cheney pregnant again.
OK, gotta get to bed.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice night kids -- and congrats, Nana.
What news Pink?
ReplyDeleteSasquatch, LOL on the song.
ReplyDeleteOops, missed the last part!
ReplyDeleteI'm printing photos to send to my daughter's great-grandma in Italy. She is in her 90's and so young at heart.
Sweet dreams Lucius. It's always good to see you.
ReplyDeleteLook who's in charge
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
Anyone need another drink? It's getting late.
ReplyDeleteI adore Nat 'King' Cole. He was one of a kind, and when I was in high school (yes, they really did have them when I was a kid.) ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd when I was an exchange student in Mexico City when I was 16? All my classmates made me sing his songs...even though I am a perfect monotone!
Daughter and 2 granddaughters make me mouth the words to a song, but grandson is too young to realize...so far!
Bar Wench,
Thank you for the tea! It is really soothing.
Uh, Sasq, I would probably have done a flounce on NY Grampa if he had played that today! Hilarious, but possibly not appropriate, maybe?
I am proud of Henry Waxman, coming so far in the face of such a debilitating ... what? REALLY? Nevermind.
ReplyDelete/
Nana, you mean you weren't in a one-room school house?
ReplyDelete...ducks!
