Yes, it's full of leftist anti-American Jew-haters, and that's a big part of it, but there's another secret reason...
"‘There is a huge cocaine culture so it should look out for its employees. … Two weeks ago the Commons Home Affairs Select Committee inquiry into the cocaine trade was told by former BBC producer Sarah Graham that she was offered the drug on her first day at the Corporation."
Great news! I've been commissioned by the Sorbonne to write the definitive biography (in French) of an American poultry tycoon. My working title is A la Recherche de Frank Perdue.
The problem with cocaine and drugs in general is that you don't realize how fracked up you are. The user believes they are perfectly coherent and normal but in reality looks like a incompetent twit that needs to keep their mouth shut. You don't need drug testing to reveal drug use, all you have to do is listen to what they say and how they act.
Last week was a bad week, the Nasdaq cratered 5.1%, the NYSE composite plunged 4.6%, the NYSE composite dropped 4.6%, the S&P500 dipped 4%, and the Dow, the only index that managed to close above its ten week average, gave up 2.6%. To make matters worse, last's week's downturn came on higher volume, indicating substantial institutional selling, and the IBD outlook was changed to "market in correction". Avoid new purchases and don't let any gains turn into losses, raise cash where appropriate. Be sure and limit all losses to no more than 7-8%, just sell, no questions asked, and live to invest another day, when the market returns to an uptrend.
This week, no watch list stocks are in a buy range.

@Kenneth: great Belmont Club article, not just for the coke stuff. In fact, I think Wretchard should be on the blogroll. He's one of the very sharpest commentators out there.
@CC: test accounts will be grandfathered in as permanent accounts?
And what's the plan with the Blogspot stuff: leave it up there, or migrate it (eventually: am sure RB has more pressing things on his mind than writing an import filter).
I have tremendous respect for Wrethard. I'm often fascinated by how he will tie together 2 or 3 news items, an historical incident and some resent research in economics, science or mathematics. He offers new insights everyday.
Kenneth, I think that is why Obama and the libs are pushing for decriminalization of pot. It tends to make the user passive and easily controllable. California will probably legalize it within two years. That will give Obama one year to enact decriminalization during his last year in office.
KS, Islam is against all drugs including alcohol. It's kind of interesting in a sad way to watch the Taliban embrace the Afghanie opium growers to obtain protection money. An interesting side effect is that some Iranian agencies are co-operating with western intelligence agencies to ID the heroin dealers because heroin use has became a big problem in Iran. The other interesting issue is the media portraying the Taliban as Islamic fundemendalists instead of drug runners and protection services they engage in.
The opium trade and other "organized crime" activity is what's funded our "devout" nemesis. But, as long as they use their profits to kill the evil infidels, it's Halal, right?
It's hard to fight a group that hides with civilians, makes it's living by acting like the Muslim version of the Sopranos and seems to be unbound by any morals or humanity.
Desert Dog, it's quite possible that some of my ancestors were Dead Rabbits, so I support giving them the respect they deserve!
Yes OR, I actually can see you walking around with a flag emblazoned with a dead rabbit on a spike, singing the "Dead Ráibéad" theme song!
My Irish ancestors came over during the famine and did stay in NY for a time. I wonder if Great, Great, Great-Grandpa Dog was a Dead Ráibéad or a Bowery Boy?
Officially at least, Islam is against all drugs, but in fact drug use is common in Muslim countries. Lebanon is a major source for hashish, the production of which is centred in the Hezbollah heartland of Bekka. Across North Africa, a blend of hashish and tobacco is a standard for hookah smokers. The Taliban has been trading heroin in Afghanistan since they first rose to power in the 1990's. Pakistan has long been a major clearing house for heroin. The ISI controls it, which is why they won't give up their protection of the Taliban. Indonesian sweat shops are notorious for feeding child laborers speed to keep production up. In Iran, heroin addiction is a huge problem, and it has made the mullahs very wealthy as they control it, along with prostitution and white slavery (also unislamic).
If you haven't noticed, hypocrisy is an Islamic virtue.
Looks like everyone is head to slumberland. Time for me to do the same. Got an early start tomorrow. Y'all take care and I will see you at the new place!
Nana, I cannot find the remote for my little converter box so I can get the game. No cable in my little computer room. I have a little abandoned puppy here, hmmmm.....?
One of those cheap multi-device remotes usually work fine. Except for our bedroom TV, a Sylvania. None of the codes work for that, so I bought a cheap one that "learns" and programmed the buttons I needed.
At least you're missing the snuggie ad on Nat Geo. Now, a snuggie for your dog! Just what I want to have to do, get the dog out of it when it has to go. And then put it outside in the cold. No, we buy dog clothes for our small dogs.
FIRST. : )

ReplyDeleteMuslims Threaten Breslin Owner After He Laughs Off Bar Demand
ReplyDeleteThey wanted hotel to move their bar because it was too close the their mosque. Bar owner, in typical New York style told them,
"This is the United States of America and we’ll do whatever the fuck we want."
http://gothamist.com/2009/10/28/muslims_request_to_move_bar_laughed.php
I think I'm going to have to go to New York soon just so I can have a drink at that bar.
