Yes, we're open.

Looks like our regular site is just about impossible to use right now (Bare can explain - I'm lost - but it is a problem beyond our control) so we can use the Blogspot for now...let's just make this an open thread. Back on the normal site ASAP. xoxoxoox - dc (a/k/a Correspondence Committee).

UPDATE 10/3/10 11:15PM PST: We're having ongoing problems, so I'm going to leave this open for now. There's no registration required here, so if you see anything hinky, please ignore it - a moderator will get to it asap. Sorry for all the trouble - it's not C2 itself, so it's not something we can just fix, unfortunately. Thanks for understanding.

  1. If you're having as much trouble as I am on the main site, let us know please. I can't even get to the Daily Broadside this morning, so I hope you're having better luck than I am. Thanks, guys.

Like a fool, when the main site went down, I went back to work. Actually, right now my computers are still working for me, I just need to wait for them to finish what they're doing.

  4. Tsk, tsk. How dare those other resources be down. Completely unacceptable.

  5. We should be up and running. Still waiting for word about the what and where stuff, but we appear to be working again.

  6. Hey y'all this is Realwest. Just wanted to say that I appreciate the fact that C2's regular site's being down is NOT Bare's fault.
In other words, Bare doesn't suck.
But I do wish we could get it back up.

Is there anyway anyone can direct folks over to this blogspot location while Bare goes to kill, uh, complain to his Server again?!?

  15. It's Sunday October 3rd at about 10AM Eastern Time and while C2 was up for a while, it was a little bit hinkey and now it's not available at all.
While Bare is out killing, uh, telling his Server where to stick it, anyway we can get word to folks to post over here?!

  26. Sorry you guys - I had turned moderation off but there was one setting I still needed to change...I didn't realize what it was until this morning. [HITS SELF IN HEAD.]

I thought the main site was fixed, but when I couldn't get on to do the morning news (I do it the night before) and Bare had to pinch hit, it occurred to me we might still need the Blogspot.

Should be working now. Sorry. (The problem was the age of this post, a setting I'd forgotten about.)

  30. Crap. MY apologies, everyone. I moved my database to a different host, so that issue is resolved. Now, I just have to get a new site host. Sigh.

Meanwhile, I'm working on finding out the what, when, where, how... etc...
