NFL Sunday OPEN

Rush Limbaugh: Hutch Writes a Hot Column

Partial transcript:

RUSH: Well, look who got through. Our good friend the Reverend Dr. Ken Hutcherson from Seattle, former player, National Football League and now a man of the cloth in Seattle. Hutch, great to have you here. What's up, buddy?

HUTCH: How you doing, my man?

RUSH: Pretty good.

HUTCH: Are you okay?

RUSH: Yeah. Oh, yeah, I'm fine.

HUTCH: Hey, that was great from the Senator from Iowa. I just want to congratulate you. He laid it out on Goodell.

RUSH: Steve King, I was stunned when I saw that. It was a fabulous job. I was very moved by it.

HUTCH: I tell you that's the kind of defense that needs to be done about what's going on in America. And, Rush, you know, I sent you an article that I was asked to write. And I just laid it out on the truth, and it's too much to talk about on the air, but I have sent it out to places like the American Thinker, sent it out to American Spectator, Washington Post, but it seems it needs to be said, it needs to be said why they are attacking you. I'm not going to let it go. I'm going to get to the bottom of this. They have attacked my friend and brother. There's things that need to be said to African-Americans that they need to hear, that they don't want to hear. That's in the article. And there's things that need to be said to America about why the white male is being attacked, and that's coming from an African-American. And I'm going to get this out because it needs to be said.

RUSH: He [Hutch] sent me the column that he wrote. He was asked by -- I won't mention the publication -- he was asked to submit it. When they got it, it was too hot, it was too hot, it was too hot. So he's shopping it to other places. Did you say the American Thinker just now? Did you send it to them?

HUTCH: Yes, I sent to American Thinker --

RUSH: You sent to the Washington Post -- all they'll have to do is read it Hutch and they'll be blown away. I don't think they'll ever, ever publish it, but if it's too hot for anybody, we'll put it on my website.
RUSH: Absolutely. We'll give them a chance to try it, bro. I just want you to know, I'm not dropping this.

RUSH: I appreciate it. I love you.

HUTCH: Love you, bro.

  3. I have never been a big Rush fan, I listen to Boortz on the way in to work and Sean on the way home, after all the their ranting and raving, I get out on the internet and then I get just as PO'ed as they are.
Rush was trashed by the media for ideology, just as Palin was burned for hers. This is not media, this a bunch demented liberals on a media witch hunt that lacks any semblence of journalistic integrity.
Maybe I will start listening to Rush now that he is on the media hit list. Rush must be doing something right to become such a huge target. Go Rush! Give 'em hell!

  7. Hey y'all - damnit I hate it when a new thread appears while I'm writing a longish comment!
ANYWAY, in the hopes that Desert Dog shows up here, this is a repost from the last thread:
"Hey DD - if y'all take a look at the link posted at the top of the comment (for which I received a h/t) you'll notice that Obamacare is FAR from non-reversable.
Moreover, the cap and tax is a treaty and we can (and if we get a decent POTUS elected) will walk away from it.
But for now, we HAVE to focus on getting MUCH stronger in Congress (which is one reason why I'm so pissed off at the NYS GOP in the 23rd CD election) and on beating Obama in 2012. And if anyone (like, say, our erstwhile tax cheating Secretary of the Treasury Tim Geithner) tells you the economy is on the rebound, look at it this way: unless and until unemployment and underemploment seriously starts to change for the better, it won't matter to the VOTERS what the economists say; you don't have a job or you have one that pays you HALF of what you earned, out goes Obama and the LEFT. PERIOD, FULL STOP.
Can't blame it all on Bush forever."

  17. Once an entitlement becomes law, it is difficult to get rid of it. The one weakness of Obamacare is that it pretends that the "public option" is actually just that. When, everyone knows it's a trojan horse designed to take over once it gets going.

But, you are right, if this does get passed, and the Republicans somehow get back into power, it can be reversed. However, the Dems will squeal like never before if the Republicans try to undo the Messiah's work.

Philly looked bad in DC on Monday. I think the Giants will eek out a win....but, these two teams know each other so well....it could go either way. I just have a "feeling" the Giants will win today.

  34. midwestgak -- I've been on a few times for a couple of weeks now, I suppose. You may remember me from another blog where my former nic was frequently abbreviated as "ctp"...

  35. We have to defend Rush from the Alinsky tactics being used against him (and same for Palin) because, if proven effective, they will be used over and over again on all of us.

If the Left is to prevail, let it be by the superiority of their ideas, not by mau mau tactics. The fact that the Left is attempting to silence its critics is evidence of the poverty of its ideology.

  39. Rawmuse,

The left has to disguise it's true identity and agenda. Although with Obama and the congress now in Dems hands, we are seeing their true colors lately.

They will live and die with their decisions now. They cannot continue to blame everything on Bush and the Republicans. They will own it...outright.

    ReplyDelete
  43. midwestgak -- probably just as well...

    ReplyDelete
  44. Well, I am sure that when all of this social engineering fails and starts costing us more and more and more, they will blame Bush for their failures. I don't think it will stick. I just hope Obama and the Dem leadership in Congress continue to push for their BS schemes....they are out of touch and that attitude will cost them dearly next election.

    ReplyDelete
  45. DD -- I agree that it won't stick as well (except for those with BDS, whose minds would never be changed either way). But that won't prevent them from trying!

    ReplyDelete
  56. So Violet, what do you put in your beef stew? I'm imagining carrots and potatoes and now I'm drooling thinking about the gravy.

    ReplyDelete
  57. gak, I season the beef and dredge it in flour and brown it. Add water and simmer for a couple of hours and then add onions, carrots and taters and a pot herb, and a can of tomato sauce. Simmer another couple of hours and ...dinner. Very simple recipe and perfect for a lazy Sunday.

  58. Scozzafava Throws Support to Owens

It is in this spirit that I am writing to let you know I am supporting Bill Owens for Congress and urge you to do the same.

Because, just like Owens, she supports the stimulus, card check, cap & trade, and Obamacare.

/but hey, don't you dare call her a RINO

FOX News' banner right now says, "Ex-GOP Candidate Throws N.Y. Congressional Race Into Turmoil by Backing Democrat"

I'm guessing the headline "Supporter of Democrat Policies Supports Democrat" didn't have that same zing to it.
