Oh, now I'm a Cheeto Cruncher... maybe that's what C2 means!
ReplyDeleteMSNBC Token RINO Joe Scarborough Claims Republicans Love Him, Only Disliked By “Cheeto Crunchers On Blogs”…
He said that a few “Cheeto crunchers on blogs” dislike him, but he more often hears Republicans praise him and “thank God” for his commentary.
Yeah, right Joe... what are your ratings again?

ReplyDeleteLA Times Tries To Rewrite History, Claims “Democrats Led The Passage of Civil Rights Legislation” In 1963…
The absence of even a gesture of bipartisanship was a reminder of the enduring political legacy of the civil rights battles. Since Democrats led the passage of civil rights legislation that marchers pushed for in 1963, Republicans have struggled to recover with black voters, leaving a stark racial divide in American politics.

Right out there before G*d and everybody
Look at the percentages. GOP was ~80% of members approving. Democrats 13 to 19 points lower.
Facts are racist!

ReplyDeleteSummer of 2013 among coolest on record in Alabama, continues cooling trend, climatologist says
HUNTSVILLE, Alabama - From Huntsville to Mobile, summer temperatures have been cooler than normal this year.
In fact, the summer of 2013 will be listed as one of the coolest summers in the past 131 years, according to state climatologist John Christy, director of the Earth Systems Science Center at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Meh, you can safely ignore them, obviously just a bunch of bible and gun clinging climate deniers... ;p

DeleteCONFIRMED: Cuba violated UN sanctions with weapons shipment to North Korea
ReplyDeletehttp://babalublog.com/2013/08/29/confirmed-cuba-violated-un-sanctions-with-weapons-shipment-to-north-korea/
And the UN inspectors would like to speak to the Cuban general who authorized the shipment.
Coño!!! What terrible bad luck! General Mendiondo was killed in a tragic (but well timed) car accident last Sunday!
http://babalublog.com/2013/08/27/what-general-mendiondo-did-not-seem-to-know/
Let's blame the embargo for the lack of brakes on Cuban cars. Yeah, the embargo...
Good luck getting Cuba to honor the warranty on any of those weapons.
DeleteLOL! The UN also shot down Cuba's excuse that these were old weapons being sent for repairs and then to be returned to Cuba. Many of the weapons were brand new, still in the factory crates. Cuba was selling the weapons to North Korea, against UN sanctions.

DeleteCorruption in Pakistan: under the prior ministerial controller of the Port of Karachi, 19,000 shipping containers of weapons, other military equipment and vehicles disappeared.
ReplyDeleteThe article's grammar isn't clear, but at least some (probably many) appear to have been smuggled into the FATA (meaning Taliban).
http://www.dawn.com/news/1039406/dg-rangers-reveals-facts-behind-karachi-weapons-smuggling
There is the nightmare.
DeleteGet a container into the shipping stream. Inside a nuke.
When it gets within a certain distance of GPS coordinates like LA or NYC Harbors..... BOOM.
No way! Our dear president received the PEACE prize!
DeleteI vaguely recall something about the general topic of security of the container system. It was from back at the time of the Ground Zero Mosque fracas. It had to do with a Gulf Arab company -- perhaps getting a Federal contract to oversee security of the system.
DeleteNo worries. Is your air raid shelter fully stocked?
DeleteI quit using air Raid. Went to a Terminix brand aerosol.
DeleteOh sure, you laugh now. Very funny. Don't try to break into my shelter when the bombs go boom and I sit there relaxed, eating canned goods.
Delete*grin* You sound like someone who grew up during the Fifties, but a young kid like you must have read it somewhere.

There's a used-books store down the street. I shall buy a copy of the Oxford Dictionary and bring it back to the apartment, putting it on the bathroom counter above the toilet paper holder.

I was going to ask you to twerk and take a selfie for posterity!

ReplyDeleteWhat I can't figure out is how the Koch brothers got Obama into this mess in the first place.
(French Pres. Hollande) further stated that he would have a “meaningful exchange” with the president of the United States (US), Barack Obama on Friday.

Snowden leaks details of US intelligence "black budget" projects.

No wonder he's a hero to Russia, China, Cuba & Iran. Now they all know exactly what the US is doing to watch them. Bonus thanks goes to the WaPo for publishing the leak.
UN team is on its last day in Syria -- will report to Moon on or after Saturday. In any event, that gives Obama clear "do-nothing" sailing until next week.
ReplyDeleteI expect he's trying to figure a way to say that the US and France isn't sufficient international "authority" to attack Syria.
He's likely to threaten a shot across the stern.
DeleteI've read that the UN Team will only report upon the use, or not, of CW -- that its mandate doesn't include determining who used them.
DeleteIf that is the case, Obama can eventually use it as an escape clause.
-----------------
After this is over, it will likely be appropriate to see a fleet of fire-fighting slurry bombers dropping millions of gallons of blood upon the White House.
Red Line?
DeleteI didn't say Red Line, well I said Red Line, but a meant more a magenta, maybe a pinkish line......
I see Deb is in the best C2 tradition -- getting to the bottom of it.
DeleteIf you're trying to predict what Obama will do about Syria, just ask yourself, "What would the stupidest thing be to do?" That's what he will do.
DeleteMy guess is he will order the US navy to fire missiles at an empty spot in the desert, give the TV cameras a very stern look and say, "Make no mistake, if I had wanted to hit you I coulda so you better watch your step, Bashir!"
No plan, no strategy, no policy ...but Obama does have a political motivation for doing something about Syria. So who's up for a little bit of pointless bombing?
ReplyDeletehttp://senseofevents.blogspot.ca/2013/08/obama-once-again-has-no-plan-bombing-is.html
He has ideas... about everything.
DeleteBut it never proceeds past the idea stage.
Obamacare BIG idea, he let Pelosi and the staffers do the real work. Now comes implementation, but that is too hard so kick the can down the road.
He's always on the road, campaigning with ideas... but no concrete proposals, no implementation.
Syria? Must do something! Right? People are dying, can't allow Assad to get away with using chemical weapons.
All ideas, no plans to actually do anything. He probably told the military, whack Assad, but every plan they have, which would achieve real military objects isn't quite right...
So, how 'bout a round of golf!
That is an interesting column. Makes me wonder if Barack-ipoo will order a bombing run, or missile strike, on something way out in the Eastern Desert, then claim it's a Critical Chemical Weapons Installation.

Here's how to do links while we're on the blogspot site!
ReplyDelete1) Start with the basic link code:
<a href=""></a>
(IMPORTANT: There MUST be a space between "a" and "href".)
2) Paste your link between the quotes, like this:
<a href="http://i.imgur.com/z7GoU3U.jpg"></a>
3) Write your descriptive text between the > and <, like this:
<a href="http://i.imgur.com/z7GoU3U.jpg">Curious bunny</a>
4) To help set the link apart from regular text, bold it with b tags, like this:
<b><a href="http://i.imgur.com/z7GoU3U.jpg">Curious bunny</a></b>
If done right, the result should look and act like this:
Curious bunny
