An older story I saved for the content

That would have been one time I would have loved being the eyewitness. :)))

  8. CC this is all your fault. The boys/perverts have been let loose.

  9. Oh, and by the way - I have to make a little announcement.

I got some email today, letting me know someone out there (not anyone I know) "on the online" has noticed a site connected to this one, called c2sandbox.

It's not intended to be a secret site or anything - it's just closed to public viewing because it's basically a warehouse for images that I make and upload, so that the team has access to them online; we also set it up so contributors would have a place to learn the Blogspot tools without fear of making a mistake and having you all see it.

That's all it is, but we wanted to let you know in case anyone saw that and assumed we're all in there conspiring or something. : )

O.M.G.: NFL Players executive director DeMaurice Smith on Saturday made a move to solidify the union against a bid by conservative talk show radio host Rush Limbaugh as part of a group that aims to purchase the St. Louis Rams.

    SHEESH.

When I first heard that Rush was going to buy a team I wondered if there would be any backlash. I know the answer now. If Rush buys this team I will have a team to get behind week in and week out. I wonder what all the naysayers will say. Will he have people of colour? I can go on and on.

  16. Misc. cheerleader pics.

    Some cute ones here.

Hey Sas, lmao at the Obama cheerleaders.

    ReplyDelete
  17. CC: I saw that awhile ago. I always thought that a sandbox was two things, one a place to play around in, as well, a place to plan strategies and make corrections tactically.

Hence, the place was for developers to talk about programming issues without messing up other areas. :)

That outfit doesn't leave a whole lot to the imagination.
    Thumbs up!

Is it this Red Hot Cheerleader or that Eagles Cheerleader you were looking for?

    ReplyDelete
  21. ETR: It's so PETTY. Like he'd be the only conservative NFL owner or something. And like conservatism is just so intolerable.

This weird liberal infection is spreading even to stuff like NFL ownership...just YUCK.

I'd be a fan of theirs, too (as a secondary thing, of course).

    ReplyDelete
  22. Football, schmootball! (Go, Giants! They won!)

Re my Red Sox? Wait til next year!

    ReplyDelete
  23. P2, yep...we thought about just leaving the mystique out there - LOL - but thought better of it and figured we'd just get that out of the way.

If we had a secret site, we'd figure out a WAY better name! ; )

    ReplyDelete
  24. Damn I wanted to watch the Pats play. I am stuck watching Jax and the Hawks. Could be worse, I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Nana, the Red Sox never really go away...seems like they're always in the hunt! Here's to next year! (How is one a Giants fan, but not a Yankees or Mets fan...or are you that too?)

You could be forced to watch the Cowboys/Chiefs.

  27. No Broncos/Pats game here for me either, Jorline. I am watching the Cardinals instead.

  28. Damn I wanted to watch the Pats play. I am stuck watching Jax and the Hawks. Could be worse, I guess.

It could - I get to watch the seahawks this afternoon.

Oh well, I can at least keep an eye on the pats game on the online.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hmmmm, blogspot is acting up on me. Every now and then I lose a series of comments that have been made, then they return after a refresh. What's up with that?

    ReplyDelete
  30. You could be forced to watch the Cowboys/Chiefs.

Well, Cassel did tie the game with little time left on 4th and 7, forcing OT. Personally, I'm always happy to see Dallas suffer LOL

    ReplyDelete
  31. TD Cardinal! Yeah! The Texans are in for a long afternoon if they cannot stop the Cards weak running game. Warner will pick them apart...

I wish I could watch the Denver/NE game...

It's because of our sooper sekrit sandbox site. Spooky, huh?

    ReplyDelete
  33. No idea, P2 - no way to tell. I haven't noticed anything though. Maybe others have.

Some days, though, I'll be posting and certain tools will disappear out of the text editor, then reappear. It's beeeeeeezarre.

  34. Bare, you've got some important email...sorry (I know you just got here).

  36. CC

I am a Bostonian by birth, and will always root for the Sox,and hate the damned Yankees, but I am a Pats and a Giants fan...go figure! Husband is a big Jets fan, yet we have managed to stay married for 47 years. ;) The main reason for that is that I understand squat about football, and only a tiny bit more re baseball! My 9 year old granddaughter adores the Mets, and already has been to more games than I have.

And I am a Mets fan. I can never forgive the Braves for leaving Boston when I was a kid, and my husband cannot forgive the Dodgers for leaving Brooklyn, where he is from.

I was in nurses' training, in Brooklyn, when they left, and could walk to Ebbetts Fiel. Sad to see it as it was being torn apart for blocks of apartment buildings.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Thanks, Nana! It makes sense now! Bare is a Pats fan, too, by the way.

Just be happy that I didn't say more! ;) You were lucky.

  42. Ah, here is what I used. Not sure what's there and available today:

    Channel Surfing

Scroll down until you start seeing NFL logos, there are two Pats game links... This one seems ok: Pats Game

  49. Super DUPER DUPER sekrit queso recipe (in the spirit of super sekrit stuff)

    1 2lb block velveeta, diced
    1 large sweet yellow onion
1 small can diced jalapenos, seeds removed (about 1/4 cup)(variation - mix with a diced chipotle pepper in adobo sauce)
2 small cans diced green chilis
    1 tsp garlic
1 1/2 tsp cumin (more to taste)
    1 can diced tomatoes
butter to saute garlic and onion

Saute garlic and onion in large sauce pan until translucent. Add cheese and stir often until melted. Add remaining ingredients, stirring well after each addition. Simmer 20 minutes and serve with tortilla chips.

Variation - add 1 cup chorizo

    Quick (cheating) version

    1 2lb block velveeta, diced
1 can ro-tel tomatoes with chilis (pick your heat level)
    1 1/2 tsp cumin

Melt cheese, add ro-tel and cumin. Simmer 20 minutes and serve.

  52. Hi Pink,

how's ya doin? I need to stop my internet stay for today in about half an hour as I'm in an internet-café at the moment.

I don't know yet when I'll be home again and thereby I have no clue as to when my next meeting with y'all will be.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Be careful, Callahan. Let us know when you get home safe and sound.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Great looking recipe, A/W. I have one from the Blue Corn Cafe in Santa Fe that's similar; I couldn't believe how simple it was when I got the cookbook. It's so good!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I'm doing good Callahan, thanks! ... and happy that you're checking in with us on a regular basis. You have fun, you hear me!?! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  56. CC- it actually is secret, been passed down for 3 generations in my family. You have to marry in to get the recipe (we try to pretend it isn't like every other queso recipe out there). ;)

  57. Army Wife

  60. Hate to bring real news into this, but have we been discussing Abbas' admission that there isn't going to be peace with Israel:
Abbas: There'll be no peace until occupation of Jerusalem ends
What a job our Nobel Peace Prize winner is doing!

    ReplyDelete
  61. sb5k - Sheesh. The Great Orator falls flat - AGAIN (though I'd argue we already knew Abbas' stance on this, perhaps the only people surprised are the small percentage on the Left who DON'T agree with the "occupation" word used in the title)

    ReplyDelete
  62. This will be it for today.
The internet-café is closing on me here.

    Gals, guys 'n 'menschen'.
    See y'all down the road.
    I love {y’all) Really!

  63. LOL A/W...actually, there's more to it than the Blue Corn recipe, so you're safe! : )

sb5...same as it ever was, huh? Only now, we have Obama. Ugh.

  64. Off for dinner and will be back for a libation or two in the Liberty Pub thread.

Thanks for the laugh of the day!

And a very happy Thanksgiving tomorrow! Will it be a white Thanksgiving? We have to wait til nearly the end of November for Thanksgiving.

They do not want peace with Israel...they want Israel in pieces, the bastards...I actually have far worse that I could say about them. Someone ought to remind them that they actually are Jordanians.....there never was a 'Palestine'. And that no country wants them..Israel is so tiny, and the arabland mass is so big.

  70. Back in a bit. My wife went with a colleague to meet with their sex offender clients off where they're locked up, and I have to pick her up at his office, about 20 min away (better than the 90 minute trip to the "treatment center")

  71. Hey Pink. My local just changed over to the Pats game. I now know why no one is here. Nail bitting game. :)

A South Houston area notification: Between the 12th & 17th there will be some low level fly-overs by the Army in the South Houston, Galveston quad.

If you hear a bunch of noise you could probably get a chance to see some really neat stuff.
