Job is going great. Just wish I could get paid more for doing it. Getting myself a new camera in a few weeks too. Friend of mine is selling me his old one. Low end professional standard. Will be blogging about it too.

Withdrawal, for me, was a heck of a lot shorter than I anticipated. And things turned out SO VERY MUCH BETTER than I ever could imagine! Life - if you are lucky - gives you wonderful surprises sometimes.
Of course, the first couple hours or so, when I was rifling through the phonebook looking for "anger management classes" ... was a tad rough. ;-)

I belong to 2 bible study groups and in both of them 25% of the men are now unemployed. Anecdotal to be sure, but I think insightful.
The Messiah decided to put import tariffs on tires from China, and now China is getting ready to respond. At Marketwatch you find this:

Oooops. To borrow a quote from somebody much smarter than me (of which there are legions), when the Messiah makes policy I have the same feeling I'd get watching a 2 year old play with a nail gun.
But you won't see any of the Messiah's worshippers or the MSM question his imposing tariffs. The will all say that the economy is turning around, regardless of evidence to the contrary.

I haven't met anybody who really thinks we need an election. It would be our 6th outing in 4 years. WTF? But Iggy's courtiers are whispering in his ear that he has to act tough to be taken seriously, and for them, acting tough means plunging the country into yet another unnecessary election.

ReplyDeleteWe've had the wettest summer in Wales, with 40% more rain than normal - and now, while we ahve some lovely sunshine and a bit of warmth, the leaves have started to turn already - four week early!
Paperwork is always to be avoided as much as possible! Especially if its to do with doctors ...

I'll never forget when a group of us were driving to Montreal and ottawa, and i got one of thoe maps from a petrol station.
It looked normal, to us europeans - and then I turned it over - and there was this huge, vast, empty rest of teh country, where the rivers and streams were printed, some tracks, and some ranger huts - and that was all!
Really drove it home to us, how big just that one province was ...
I've got that map still, somewhere ...!
Gotta go for now and look after Madame, who has damaged her hind leg and isn't too happy to have very restricted walkies only, on vet's orders!
