Sorry about the non-working link! :-(
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that as soon as I learn how to use blogspot we'll be moving...probably SOONER, actually!
/slow learner
Dear Slow Learner - how long have you had this feeling of inferiority?! LOL!
ReplyDeleteListen, it surprises me that ABC and WaPo haven't covered this - ABC has done a couple of pieces that were critical of Obama and the Dems, as has WaPo and WaPo is THERE in D.C. so it's hard to understand their justification for not covering the upcoming protest. The others would only surprise me if they HAD mentioned, much less covered the upcoming protest.
But the real biggie will be after April 15, 2010 and especially 2011 when Americans realize that IF THEY ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE A JOB, they are paying MUCH MORE in taxes.
The MSM, as always, is providing cover for Obama and the Dems (when not outright praising him). Hell where have you seen any coverage of Charlie Rangel - the lying tax cheat who has recently discovered that his net worth is well in excess of two million bucks, he just didn't remember that when reporting to the IRS?
And he's Chairman of the House Ethics Committee.
realwest,
ReplyDeleteSo far, NADA, and I dug pretty far into their sites. Maybe they'll do something AFTER the fact(?)
There are some videos on YouTube of various state contingents arriving in D.C. last night. Nothing from today, as of yet...
Hey! just a drive-by to say good morning and ya'll don't forget to tell me the new address when you move ... gotta go work ... later ...
ReplyDeleteHiya, Zigzagging! :-) We sure won't forget you. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWell lawhawk has done a better job covering Rangel's misdeeds than has Pelosi or for that matter ANYONE else in the MSM (except Fox).
ReplyDeleteVery insightful comments by him on Rangel's continually "finding" assets he forgot he had.
And, of course, the question is why is he still Chairman of the House Ethics committee? Hello Nancy Pelosi? President "transparency in government" Obama? Anything at all to say? Apparently not. At least not for public consumption.
If Obama/Pelosi DID have anything to say about it, realwest, would the media actually report it?
ReplyDeleteAnd so...we've come full circle - STRUMPETS! ;-)
real replying to your post down stairs. I am looking to buying a gas station. I had one in S.Africa and think getting my feet here with one may be a good idea. Looking to start small and then expand later.
ReplyDeleteErik,
ReplyDeleteA very good idea! My family was in the food business, and as my Daddy used to say, "People gotta eat!"
Same idea with gas/driving.
Good luck with it! :-)
Erik (and littleoldlady) the food business and the gas business were good back in the Great Depression. But Mom (who graduated HS two years before Pearl Harbor told me that in additon to Food and Gas, entertainment was big business - that was before TV, computers and the like). My only concern is that Obama wants everyone to drive electric or hybrid cars. How difficult/expensive is it to add the capability of "fueling" both regular and hybrid cars?
ReplyDeleteShould not be too hard realwest. Its either electric or propane. Both are easy to add. This is just to pay the bills and cut my teeth in the USA. I don't see me doing this for long, unless I start buying the real estate. Then you really start making $$$. Location, Location, Location. That is all that matters to me.
ReplyDeleteMy uncle used to say hookers and booze. Always recession proof. LOL. My wife would kill me. :)))
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that as soon as I learn how to use blogspot we'll be moving...probably SOONER, actually!
ReplyDeleteThat's why you have me. All fixed. : )
We're thinking about putting up a tutorial thread for the most basic HTML that people can use inside the threads here, too. I'll talk to our Uber Geeks today about doing that.
Love the post!
CC! Thanks for fixing my mess! :-)
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure!
ReplyDeleteThere are a couple of updates I added, as well...some incredible stuff going on out there today! Thanks again for kicking the day off with this.
